Banking – Global Top 50 – Scotiabank

  • Championed development and deployment of mobile money, digital payments across the Caribbean and Latin America. Led workshops to transfer knowledge and capability to markets.
    • Development of operating models for Agent Banking and Alliances.
    • Launched award winning mobile money projects in Haiti and Peru.
    • Prospected and initiated relationships to enable cross functional negotiations on such Fintech initiatives with Strands, Linio and Kabbage.

  • Led double-digit growth of the Caribbean and Central American Credit Card portfolio with new country launches, usage and balance transfer programs and alliances with new partners such as Orange Telecom, American Airlines, MasterCard, PriceSmart, Magna Rewards, Delta and Avianca.

  • Part of the leadership team for re-engineering of the Caribbean Region. Transformation from a branch only network focused on transaction processing to a multi-channel sales and service organization. Strategic vision definition, business cases, tactical planning, development of analytics and sales measurement tools, etc. Operational re-engineering Phase delivered $20 million bottom line;

  • Led the design, development and implementation of a Product, Customer & Channel Profitability reporting system for the Canadian retail bank. Enabled product and channel re-pricing that generated +$20 million as well as enhanced control and reporting on +$100 million of branch pricing concessions (both rate and fee).
